KYT : Know Your Taxpayer

Inland Revenue Department Nepal has recently introduced system of KYT known as Know Your Taxpayer. Services such as submitting or verifying Income Tax return, VAT return are prohibited from the given USER ID  unless KYT form is updated. So lets have a look at the steps in updating the recent KYT form introduced by Inland Revenue Department Nepal.

1. Go to https://www.ird.gov.np and Click on Taxpayer Portal (करदाता पोर्टल).

2. Click on General>>>Taxpayer Login.

3. Insert pan no, user id and password. If no user id and password has been obtained, obtain the same from concerned tax office.

4. Click on Login button.

5. Click on KYT .

6. Fill up the necessary details as appeared in the screen.

7. Click on Save button.

8. Verify with the OTP received in Email/Mobile Number provided in step no 6.
